NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE
SUPPORT ENGINEER

Overview:

This customer-facing role will be part of a dynamic team handling Cisco Meraki infrastructure support cases at existing mission critical enterprise locations and will provide additional support for further/future infrastructure upgrades at new locations. This exciting role will expose you to a variety of complex problem sets requiring detailed investigation and problem-solving skills.  You will work with members of the enterprise Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) team to assist in resolving infrastructure issues.

Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE: 3+ years’ experience providing direct support and troubleshooting Cisco Meraki infrastructure and relevant hands-on experience with network technologies to include firewalls, routing/switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless.

  • Detailed and through comprehension of networking protocols including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, etc.

  • Experience supporting and/or testing LANs, 802.11 wireless networks, VPNs, NAT devices, and DHCP servers.

  • Preferred: BS in Computer Science/IT/Networking or working towards a four-year degree.

  • Preferred: Networking certifications a plus (CCNA, CCNP, CWNA, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Handle Cisco Meraki infrastructure support cases at existing mission critical enterprise locations and provide additional support for further/future infrastructure upgrades at new locations.

  • Own each customer case from initial creation to resolution.

  • Collaborate with the enterprise I&O team to address any cases escaping your area of expertise.

  • Use acquired knowledge to suggest, edit, and write in-depth Knowledge Base articles.

  • Stay up to date on Cisco and Meraki features and other infrastructure technologies and trends.

  • Work with your team & the enterprise I&O to improve processes.
