Position overview:

This is a senior level role working between global and local product teams leading the test validation efforts for connected vehicle platforms. This role requires broad and deep expertise in overall quality, V&V, and testing/test automation for modern software development and cloud-based environments.

What you’ll do:

Work across the organization to include business users, external technology providers, application development, IT, and global product organizations to ensure new services, enhancements, regional deployments, and operational upgrades can be delivered with speed and high quality. This includes the definition, plan, execution, and management of end-to-end quality for connected services.

 

Who you will work with:

A dynamic and agile team that is responsible for building connected vehicle services. Works with large development teams to determine overall testing approach, priorities, and execution. Ultimately is responsible for representing the organization for readiness of major rollouts of connected vehicle services. The position is primarily remote with occasional onsite work.

Responsibilities, Skills, Experience:

This role requires a solid technical foundation in web, web services, and mobile taxonomies. The ideal candidate will have a development background, strong test strategy skills, has worked as a test architect, and understands complex, highly integrated, services-based, technical architectures. The candidate will have the ability to provide an overall strategic test validation strategy, lead teams, and be hands-on to accomplish the following:

  • Responsible for enterprise program quality and applying lean quality methods and frameworks to address business growth and enterprise quality challenges. Champion and mentor, the overall maturity, and capabilities for high levels of quality.

  • Represents organization in all front-end planning activities including proof of concept activities, scoping, and sizing, and identifying key dependencies required to deliver high quality solutions.

  • Represent test validation plans for the established technology roadmaps. Facilitate testing within the enterprise and with external providers. Provide quality leadership and project management functions for overall validation testing.

  • Continuous improvement and program measurement of KPI’s. Link to enterprise stakeholders (business, technical, service partners, etc.) to determine quality of service and represent quality requirements (SLA’s, etc.).

  • Design, develop and maintain test architectures and test interfaces to provide adequate testing infrastructures, tools, and environments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years quality management with 5+ years responsible for overall test/quality strategies in connected services environments.

  • Inclusive of total experience (ideally): 7+ years of hands-on experience in a testing/test validation role in which you developed end-to-end testing strategies & plans; 3+ years of experience as a test architect responsible for testing complex technical architectures in highly integrated/microservices environment.

  • In-vehicle, mobile, web, and back-end testing to include testing network protocols, security, API, SOAP, RESTful.

  • Full testing lifecycle experience: Unit, integration, regression, system, UAT.

  • Experience in connected services, IoT, or preferably connected vehicle.

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with automation and modern testing tools (Selenium, TestNG, Perfecto, JIRA, Confluence, Cucumber, Gherkins, X-code, etc.). Experience in testing best practices including continuous integration testing, test-drive development, scrum, agile, etc.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (Fluent English). Builds strong relationships with internal and external partners to influence the direction of quality outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field.
